iglidur® E is characterized by its long service life when combined with aluminum shafts. It offers particularly good wear properties, especially in linear and pivoting motion profiles. Typical application areas include the textile industry, packaging industry, printing industry, and automation technology.
Tolerances and Measuring System
The installation dimensions and tolerances of iglidur® plain bearings depend on the material and wall thickness. Moisture absorption and thermal expansion are crucial for the material. Plain bearings with low moisture absorption can be installed with small bearing clearance. Regarding wall thickness, the following applies: The thicker the bearings, the greater the bearing clearance required.
Assembly
iglidur® plain bearings are press-fit bushings. The inner diameter is only adjusted to the appropriate tolerance after they are pressed into the mounting bore. The press-in interference can be up to 2% of the inner diameter. This ensures a secure press fit of the bearings. Axial or radial displacement in the housing is thus reliably prevented.
