iglidur® plain bearing in convertible top system

Numerous articulated points of multi-joint hinges in convertible top systems are equipped with iglidur. Advantages: Tolerance compensation by recalibration in e-coating enables a low bearing clearance, despite rough tolerances of punched support and rivet.

In the case of an automatic closure for a convertible top (soft top) for locking the front bow to the vehicle wind deflector, the search was on for a bearing arrangement with as little friction and wear as possible and with a defined axial clearance.
