KUKA Cobra with innovative technology

The plant engineers KUKA Systems develop concepts to connect presses and rely on the KUKA Cobra for this. There is an additional axis mounted on the robot arm which loads and unloads the presses. This innovation makes it possible to increase output and reduce the distance between presses, and combines the dynamism of a linear axis with the flexibility of a robot in a quite unique way. For this application, igus® has developed a new chain guide variant of the standard E6 chain with new connectors in order to make the KUKA Cobra design as compact as possible.
